the adidas gazelle has a history.

The time comes where you have to make the choice… Superstars or Gazelles…

(If you don’t want to read my babble… skip to the bottom to find out where you can get this look!)

Over the past couple years, the popularity of sneakers has sky-rocketed – and for obvious reasons. They look awesome and are super comfortable – every fashion addicts dream.

The Gazelle is a shoe design that has been around for many years – it has been worn by great influences, including Oasis, Kate Moss, and young Michael Jackson.

Originally, the shoes were worn for sports. The colour of the shoe even determined what sport it should be used for. Blue for training, red for handball and so on. Of course, each shoe had a slightly different design for the sport allocated.

Let’s talk about this yellow. We were randomly driving in town and noticed this yellow wall that had been assembled at a construction sight. So we pulled over to take some photos and I absolutely love the result. The combination of colours makes me so happy -the yellow is eye-catching and brings the pictures to life.

Shoulder pads are making a come back! I have never been a huge fan, but when I tried this top on, I knew life as I know it was going to change. This top is super cute and can be dressed up with a smart pair of pants or dressed down with funky high waisted denim shorts.

Let’s not forget to mention my amazing pink fluffy earrings that happen to match my top perfectly… #soeighties

  1. I have never heard the history of the Gazelle shoe, but it seems to be a lot like Chucks. I went for the Superstars myself in black, but I seem to see them everywhere in white…also: rad pics and blog. Cape Town is somewhere I’ve always been curious about, maybe someday I can make it over.

  2. The platform sneakers are all you need to breeze through the summer months. It’s so sweet that have a link about the history of Gazelle. Btw, I really like your pink fluffy earrings!
