It’s time to pull out those pretty white dresses.

Summer is officially upon us here in Cape Town – and we both know how good a white dress looks on anyone!

Today, I come with some outfit inspiration!

(Skip to the bottom to find out where you can get this look!)

I like to try and find dresses that are flattering, comfortable and not transparent. It’s the most frustrating thing having to find skin colour underwear that actually looks like your skin. I got the dress seen above from a Euro trip I did with my family earlier this year. I got it at Bershka, and wore it multiple times throughout the trip. It was perfect for going into churches and sight seeing – all I needed was a little scarf or sarong to cover my shoulders.

I paired the dress with some summery heels and some Ray Ban glasses to give it a bit of flare – but it’s the perfect length for a flat shoe too. I take every opportunity I can to wear heels – they are super flattering for the leg and always make you look and feel like a million bucks… but, alas, I am quite tall and wouldn’t want to constantly be the giraffe in the room and so these heel-wearing-times are pretty limited.

The next ‘white-dress-inspo’ was from a friend for my birthday last year. She got it from The Lot and it is the most ‘tumblr-esque’ item of clothing I own. The cut-outs make it perfect for frolicking on the beach or spending the day by the pool.

I can’t wait for Summer to come! Normally by this time of the year we are all dying of heat, schools close early because of high temperatures and watermelons are being consumed like crazy… This year feels a bit strange temperature wise.

I hope you all had or are having a wonderful Monday!
