Monday morning – and we were off to breakfast!

Today, Max and I headed off to Jarryd’s Espresso Bar and Eatery. I have eaten there a few times before, and for the first time ever (to our relief), there wasn’t a queue running out onto Sea Point Main Road. 

I absolutely love this restaurant! Not only because they make an excellent cappuccino and the food is to-die-for, but the waitrons move at a crazily-energetic pace that puts a smile on your face. (That rhyme was not on purpose hehe.)

Within seconds, we were seated and water and menus were brought to our table. 

The menu has a wide range of options – from Flapjack stacks with unicorn toppings (candy-floss) to eggs Benedict with a twist. 

I decided to go for the breakfast gazpacho – which was essentially yogurt topped with extremely thinly sliced pineapple and papaya, topped with some berries, nuts and dried coconut shavings and Max went for the breakfast bruschetta which had streaky bacon, smashed avocado, tomato, Spanish onion salsa, basil pesto, poached eggs and a balsamic reduction – served on a bread of your choice. 

Safe to say, it was delicious.

And, of course, I had to have a cuppa-that-cino! 

In other news: I got my very own pair of Gigi Hadid for Vogue Eyewear sunnies! These frames make me feel like a millions bucks. The exaggerated cat-eye is perfect for summer and definitely a NEED for every diva’s closet. The tortoise-shell is also makes a statement – but if you’re new to a cat-eye, there’s a solid black and white option too!
