The Golden Globe Awards started in 1944 after a group of writers started the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This foundation created the Golden Globe award to honour the best achievements in filmmaking. The 76th Golden Globe Awards ceremony, was held on the 6th of January 2019 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. (What a dream – am I right?)

Seeing as I have a massive passion for all things fashion, I figured I would share with you some of my favourite looks of the night.

Starting with actress Kiki Layne (from If Beale Street Could Talk) who wore a gorgeous baby pink custom Dior dress. Dare I say it was my favourite look of the night?

Lady Gaga’s princess blue Valentino dress is what everyone has been talking about. Firstly, it’s lady Gaga and secondly, she is wearing Valentino – a match made in heaven! The dress was a tribute to the one worn by Judy Garland in the 1954 version of “A Star is Born.” Topped with a stunning diamond necklace from Tiffany’s… it’s no wonder everyone is talking about her look.

Billy Porter’s look was not my favourite… but it definitely deserves a mention. The suit had embroidered flowers and a cape…. what are your thoughts?

Rami Malek, star of “Bohemian Rhapsody” (and Golden Globe winner!) wore a white bowtie and black tuxedo. Simple, but always a winner in my opinion. Gorgeous Julia Roberts wore a one-shoulder, Stella McCartney pantsuit. I’ve never been a fan of skirt-like material hanging over pants but she rocked it.

Lucy Boynton, another star of “Bohemian Rhapsody” wore a stunning metallic gold Celine gown. Hr platinum blonde bob made the look even more dazzling.

Pink seemed to be the popular colour choice of the Golden Globes. Emma Stone wore a blush pink Louis Vuitton dress.

I didn’t find this years outfits particularly impressive. What are your thoughts? Perhaps the early date in the year meant that there wasn’t enough time!
